OPEN PLAN LIVING

This Traditional extended Yorkshire stone cottage sat on one of the many hills above Huddersfield with far ranging vies towards Calderdale, Halifax and beyond is a rare beauty.

In some areas the house required gutting back to the raw stone that some skilled mason laid some 200 years earlier. We were focussed on moving quickly as the family had gone away for the summer and time was of the essence to break the back of this project.

The clients wanted a house to be contemporary with flexibility to make it an awesome place for entertaining as they love parties! As part of the brief we wanted to open up views and create a ground floor that worked for entertaining. We removed a couple of walls and ensured the levels between the even to create a one space and to ensure light flowed through.
